After years of financial struggles, the book publishing industry is scratching back some of its stability. And Amazon.com is one of the major reasons for the recovery. But the conversion of publishing’s commercial sales methods comes with its own growth pains. The distributors, warehousers, and small bookshop supply chains are now integrated into the massive Amazon ecosystem with its own closely held business practices and profit margins.
