The first question should be why.  Then come the benefits and what the commercial world calls the ROI – return on investment.

If you are already using cloud storage for data files, pictures, music, etc., then you have probably considered one or both of the above.  If you’ve already purchased hundreds of CDs and DVDs and some nice furniture in which to store them for easy access, then you might want to think it through some more.

With personal data storage on a personal hard drive above 3TB now, putting stuff in the cloud might be a question of ease or having a single point resource for all your devices, especially if you work remotely or from a number of different locations
