Price does matter and now that consumers have options to the high-priced Apple iPad and iPad mini sales of competing tablets are skyrocketing.
Last Christmas was the “year of the tablet” with many new models competing for attention. This Christmas is probably the “year of the commoditization of the tablet” with prices dipping below $100 on some eReaders and below $150 on branded tablets.
And now nearly anyone (with discretionary spendable income or generous relatives) will sport the lightweight, transportable media/computing devices – at least after December 25th.
