This is a very bold statement, but one that merits watching and following. The technology ecosystem that will connect us in the future will demand a tremendous amount of interoperability and communication (behind the scenes at the software level). The best example of this level outside the propriety walls of companies like Cisco is Open Source. And the recent failure of OpenSSL points to its vulnerability.
Western Electric and Bell Telephone (AT&T) made the same bold statements a half a century ago and that was before the Internet and the ubiquity of today’s devices.
Buckle up. Its going to be a long and wild ride.
