We like to believe that we are a part of a global economy,  but as long as large, influential companies like Google, Facebook, and Microsoft are founded and based in the US and controlled, primarily, by American shareholders, they will continue to be affected by non-domestic regulation and controls.

The irony is that these same global restrictions also provide protection for cybercriminals who operate with impunity from a variety of offshore countries  Where’s the regulation and control over them, foreign governments?
