Putting things in perspective, it looks like Cloud Computing isn’t going to disappear soon – if ever. Now that we have the Internet infrastructure to move data to users at relatively the same speed it might be moved locally, the efficiencies, economies, and productivity gains will drive it.
The only remaining impediment to total Cloud domination continues to be security. Companies still want their proprietary and customer data locked inside the walls of the building. Curious, since it only takes a thumb drive or an open port in a firewall to destroy that illusion.
