I would think that most parents and the governing body of our public schools, the School Board, would want to have an opportunity to review the law enforcement practices of the police who provide safety services to school campuses. Not the case in San Diego, As Mario Koran’s article reports, Officers in San Diego ARE using facial recognition devices totake pictures of students on campus without their permission.
Is this a privacy violation? Time will tell.
Yes, we want safe campuses in San Diego.
Real crimes are being committed on campus.
Does a line need to be drawn?
