Nonsense is having to use the AT&T SMTP server to bounce my laptop email when I’m working on my home (AT&T) WiFi connection. I know, I can probably use another carrier, but thats a VERY complicated story for another day. (Thanks to the Telecommunications Act of 1996)
Its also consumer pricing/discount policies that would make a financial analyst cringe.
And then there’s the mysterious DNS server on the west coast that blocks normal browser traffic from my laptop to my hosting company in the mid-west. The error that we finally pried from them was “malicious traffic”. Now, if my blogs or legitimate company Internet activities are malicious, I still don’t know why.
The former Ma Bell is back up to its old tricks. I hope it gets better, but I am not holding my breath.
